Questions people ask
How do I compute my daily rate?+
Monthly salary × 12 ÷ the number of working days in a year: 261 if you work Monday to Friday, 313 if Monday to Saturday, or 365 if you're paid for every day including rest days. Hourly rate = daily ÷ 8.
How much is deducted for being late?+
Only the minutes you were late, at your per-minute rate (hourly rate ÷ 60). Employers can't add fines or penalties on top.
Can overtime cancel out my undertime?+
No. Under the Labor Code, undertime on one day can't be offset by overtime on another day: the overtime must be paid and the undertime deducted separately.
